Mary Lou Cook
We recently added a fabric printer to our arsenal. The creative ideas are endless.
The first project is a steam punk themed lap quilt. When finished this quilt will in the shop for sale.
Then, there are plans to create a quilt for fans of Court of Thrones and Roses readers. This quilt will be added to the shop for sale.
We have been commissioned for a military remembrance quilt for a friend.
And lastly a Midlevel throw quilt which will be a Grand Prize at a mystery dinner I am hosting in October.
The quilting competition bug bit awhile back. The challenge we set is that each one will be different techniques. This was tossed around for quite awhile.
Game of Thrones anyone?
It took me several weeks to find the right map; and then several more to draw, and then create the stitches and find the fabric. Then, it was a wait for some specialty scissors-but it has begun. Stay tuned for updates and to see the final project. (This pattern will be offered for sale, the quilt will not).
Using the features in XTool software I was able to create a clock with timeless images for the unit D & D served in. We will recreate this item for unit members upon request.
